At Kidgate Academy, our Geography curriculum is designed to ignite children’s fascination with the Earth—its diverse landscapes, environments, and communities. Through focused exploration of place, space, and environment, we aim to cultivate a deep appreciation for the world we live in.
Geography is taught as a discrete subject to nurture curiosity and provide children with a strong foundation in geographical knowledge and skills, encouraging them to engage thoughtfully with both global and local contexts.
Geography also links naturally with other subjects like science, history, and art. By making these connections, children gain a bigger picture of the world and develop a deeper appreciation for the places they live in—and those they’ve yet to discover.
